Goldenrod city where is the underground

There are lots of Team Rocket members in the Tower. The path to the next badge is clear. Professor Elm needs your help in Goldenrod City. Fly down there, pick a roster of strong fighters, and infiltrate the Radio Tower. You need a key to open the shutters and use the stairs on the right. Until you get one, use the stairs in the middle of the building. After fighting through five floors of Rockets, you can challenge the fake director for the Basement Key. After you defeat him, he will tell you that the real station manager is being held in the locked-off area of the Underground.

Use the key he gives you to open the locked door in the tunnel. Use the Basement Key to open the door then enter the Basement. Your rival will reveal himself in the Underground area, and there's no avoiding a battle this time. Fighting-types are best against Sneasel, but you will be fine if you use Rock- or Fire-types instead.

The three switches along the north wall of this floor interact with each other in odd ways, so if you want to accomplish anything, you'll have to flip them in the right order. To get down to the door, you'll need to flip them in order from left to right.

You'll need different combinations to reach the items, but they're not really worth the effort. If you get confused or mess up, return to the floor above—the switches will reset. After you talk to the Station Manager, flip the switch closest to the door to get out. The director here will give you the Card Key that opens up the locked door on the 3rd floor of the Radio Tower. But before you rush back, head up to the basement of the Department Store and grab the money-doubling Amulet Coin.

After taking him out and attempting to continue to the west, you'll run into and subsequently confront your Rival. He'll talk little before wanting a piece of you. You've fought and destroyed your Rival plenty of times in the past, and this confrontation will be no different. In addition to a varied level thirty-two Pokemon based on the Pokemon you chose in the beginning of the game , your Rival will also come to battle with a level thirty Golbat, a level twenty-eight Magnemite, a level thirty Haunter, and a level thirty-two Sneasel.

Naturally, with such a varied party to deal with, you too will have to utilize a variety of your own Pokemon to prevail successfully. Following the successful conclusion of the Rival battle, continue to the left. Then, backtrack slightly and head southward. Here, you'll run into a series of small rooms with a specific color of tile on the floor.

There are two each of blue, red and green tiled floors, sitting randomly in two 3x2 rows. The idea here is to manipulate the three switches nearby to open the doors needed to reach the room at the southeastern edge of this area. Of course, you'll want to also manipulate the switches to you gain access to the three enemy trainers on the left side of the room you can also find a Smoke Ball in the southwestern corner of this location.

After grabbing the Smoke Ball and slaying the three trainers' Pokemon over there, make sure the switches have been utilized in such a way as to grant you access to the southeastern portion of the wider room. Take on one more Pokemon trainer there, and then head through the door to his right.

This next location, is fairly linear. You'll wind in an easterly direction, and it's relatively impossible to get lost. Be on the lookout for items as you go along. An Ultra Ball can be found on your left, behind some crates, as you head northward from the entrance.

As you go south from there, examine the small yellow boxes on your left to find a Max Potion. As you head eastward, take on the trainer and grab the Max Ether stashed in the southeastern corner.

Then, go north. Fight another Team Rocket Grunt, grab the Revive from the small yellow parcel sitting on the floor next to him, and then wrap around to the left.

You'll find a final Team Rocket Grunt there. Following the fight, head southward to find a man Team Rocket is keeping prisoner. He'll hand over the Card Key, and you can grab TM82 sitting next to him as well. Then, backtrack slightly and head up the stairs at the northeastern end of the room. Strangely, when you head up those stairs, you'll find yourself in the basement of Goldenrod City's massive department store. You were in the basement earlier in the game if you're following our walkthrough anyway , but the staircase was inaccessible at that time.

Now, you can head on out and back to the elevator in order to access the first floor of the department store so that you can go back outside. There are likely some switches nearby that will open it. From there, head a to the left through the archway above to the next Grunt. He will mention something about one door opening before another closes and how this impedes you.

He will start with a Muk lvl. It will largely attack with Mud Bomb and Sludge though. After that, he will send in either Koffing lvl. The Koffing is much the same as those you encountered before in the Radio Tower. It knows Smog and will frequently use it. It will attempt to use Sucker Punch too, but it is not that strong. Talking with this Grunt after, he will mention that the Green Switch is the one to press last.

There are some switches not too far from him, maybe the other Grunts know something about the sequence. Only one way to find out, beat them! Keep going to the left for a moment though to get the item ball with a Full Heal inside. Head all the way down and to the left.

You will see someone you can challenge, this is Burglar Duncan. He will lead with a Koffing lvl. Take it out. After that, he will send in either Magmar lvl. After that, head to the left and grab the item ball with a Smoke Ball inside. Head up to encounter the next Burglar Olsen. He opens with a Growlithe lvl. Watch out for its Reversal and Fire Wheel. Fter that, he will send out a Koffing lvl. It is not that different from the other Koffings.

After that Burglar, head up and deal with the last Team Rocket Grunt. This Grunt starts with a Koffing lvl. After that, he will send out a Muk lvl. Nothing special, so just take it out.
